Job Context

We are looking for a Coordinator for an anticipatory action project. The coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Team Leader (TL) and ensuring the smooth, timely, and high‑quality implementation of all project activities under the DPHE‑HELP project. The position will primarily focus on the Cox’s Bazar (all upazila) and Noakhali district and requires strong coordination, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and training facilitation skills to effectively deliver project outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Support in Deliverable Submission

  • Assist the Team Leader in ensuring timely submission of all contractual deliverables with acceptable quality standards, particularly for activities in Noakhali district.
  • Support development and execution of achievable and realistic work plans.

Training & Capacity Building

  • Assist in developing training modules and materials as designed.
  • Deliver training sessions to relevant stakeholders, including field personnel, LGI representatives, entrepreneurs, and others.

Stakeholder Coordination & Awareness

  • Provide support to DPHE and Local Government Institutions (LGIs) for awareness creation activities on WASH‑related issues.
  • Support the implementation of WASH interventions in Noakhali district through continuous engagement with community groups and stakeholders.

Coordination with Project Management

  • Maintain close coordination with the Deputy Project Director (DPD) and HELP team for efficient and effective project implementation.
  • Ensure strong field‑level presence and provide timely feedback to the central project team.

Government & Partner Liaison

  • Liaise regularly with DPHE Upazila and district-level officials in Noakhali, and engage with central-level government stakeholders as needed.
  • Coordinate with non‑governmental organizations and other development partners to support successful project delivery.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and submit monthly, periodic, annual, and other special reports as requested by the Project Authority.
  • Maintain documentation of field visits, training sessions, meetings, and stakeholder engagement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist the Team Leader in implementing all additional tasks and activities required for successful project execution in the assigned areas.
  • Ensure compliance with project guidelines, donor expectations, and reporting standards.

Required qualifications, experiences and skills

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Science or relevant field (e.g., Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Economics, Social Welfare, Political Science).

Required Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in social development activities, including at least 5 years in WASH, tribal peoples' issues, or social safeguards with reputable national/international organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in social mobilization, assessment tools, and participatory appraisal methods.
  • Proven capacity to deliver training/orientation sessions and produce high‑quality reports in both English and Bengali.
  • Experience working with World Bank or other development partner–funded projects, with knowledge of their instruments, safeguards policies, and procedures.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior professional experience in the WASH sector.
  • Experience working with the Rohingya community.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation abilities.
  • Good analytical, documentation, and report‑writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to fieldwork and working with diverse communities.

Working Hours

8.5 hours per day including lunch break 30 minutes in between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Contract Tenure

March 2026 – April 2027

Salary & Benefits

Consolidated payment BDT. 110,000/- per month

Travel

Extensive field travel is required in Project Areas / DPHE Office – All subdistrict of Cox’s Bazar and 2 Sub-district oif Noakhali district.
