Job Context

The ENABLE project aims to strengthen CSO and their networks, support community‑led environment and climate initiatives, and enhance policy dialogue at local levels. As part of its field implementation structure, the project deploys Young Professionals (YPs) who act as frontline support to CSO and their networks, communities, and project teams. The YP will support day‑to‑day field operations and engagement with Civil Society Organization (CSO) and their networks. The position strengthens information flow, supports meetings and community consultations, collects qualitative and quantitative data, and ensures continuous communication between field actors and the project team.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role may include the following but are not limited to:

CSO Network Coordination & Field Engagement

  • Maintain close, regular communication with CSO and their networks across wards, unions and upazilas.
  • Support CSO activities, mobilization, and follow‑up on planned community actions.
  • Facilitate documentation of CSO initiatives, challenges, and progress.
  • Assist in strengthening CSOs’ linkages with local authorities and service providers.
  • Support CSOs, in record keeping, track progress and growing as independent organizations.

Data Collection, Monitoring & Information Support

  • Collect field data following MEAL guidelines and tools.
  • Conduct community visits, consultations, and focused group discussions (FGDs).
  • Support monitoring of CSO-led activities, grant schemes, and community‑led initiatives.
  • Ensure timely submission of field data to the Project Officer, MEAL Coordinator and Project Manager.
  • Maintain proper documentation (photos, attendance sheets, case stories, feedback logs).

Facilitation of Meetings & Community Consultations

  • Organize and facilitate community meetings, consultation sessions, and local dialogues.
  • Provide logistical support for project events, workshops, and advocacy activities.
  • Work closely with Project Officers to support capacity development sessions for CSOs and their networks.
  • Ensure community voices and feedback are captured and shared with project management.

Field Logistics, Communication & Support

  • Coordinate field logistics (venue preparation, materials, travel arrangements).
  • Support communication between field-level stakeholders and the project team.
  • Assist Finance & Admin Officer and YP (Finance) with basic administrative tasks when required (e.g., event documentation, participant verification).

Expected Deliverables

  • Monthly field activity report capturing CSO engagement, data, consultations, and follow-up.
  • Accurate and timely submission of data collection forms and monitoring tools.
  • Well maintained field record of activities, photos, minutes, and attendance sheets.
  • Support the timely implementation of CSO-led events as per monthly plan.

Required qualifications, experiences and skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or any related field.

Experience:

  • 1 years’ experience in NGO especially in community engagement, research, field mobilization, or working with CSOs is desirable. Fresh graduates are also highly encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct field visits to remote communities regularly.
  • Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel), smartphone-based data collection tools, and record keeping.

Working Hours

8.5 hours per day including lunch break 30 minutes in between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Contract Tenure

A 12-month internship contract (extendable based on funding availability and performance).

Salary & Benefits

We will offer a monthly consolidated salary in the range of BDT 30,000 – BDT 34,000 CTC ((may vary based on experience and current remuneration), along with other admissible benefits. Other benefits include travel allowance, HELVETAS public holidays, 2 days of the weekend, annual leave of 25 days and 15 days of sick leave.

Travel

This position requires frequent travel (75% or more) to the project locations and direct engagement with project implementation.
