Job Context

Helvetas is recruiting qualified enumerators to support the Outcome Assessment for the “Actions to Climate Change Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS)” project. The role involves collecting accurate and reliable information from households, communities, government officials, and other relevant local stakeholders in the project locations. The assignment requires strict adherence to data collection guidelines, ethical standards, and timely submission of field reports.

Number of Positions: 14 Positions

  • Southwestern Region: 8 Positions
  • Northwestern Region: 6 Positions

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role may include the following but are not limited to:

Household Surveys

  • Conduct structured household interviews using approved tools.
  • Collect accurate quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Ensure data is complete, consistent, and unbiased.

FGDs and KIIs

  • Facilitation of FGDs with women, youth, farmers, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable households.
  • Conduct KIIs with local leaders, government officials, service providers, and other key stakeholders as assigned.
  • Take clear notes, manage audio recording (where applicable), and ensure proper documentation.

General Field Responsibilities

  • Obtain informed consent and follow ethical standards with all respondents.
  • Maintain respectful communication and neutrality during interviews.
  • Keep field notes and submit daily updates, completed forms, and checklists.
  • Protect confidentiality of respondents and project data.
  • Report field challenges to supervisors promptly.
  • Support data verification, spot-checks, and corrections as required.
  • Ensure safe and proper use of mobile devices and data collection applications.

Required qualifications, experiences and skills

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Social Science, Geography, Development studies, Anthropology, Environmental Science, Disaster Management, or relevant field from any reputed University.
  • Experience with qualitative data collection is strongly preferred.

Skills and Experiences:

  • Previous experience in surveys, qualitative interviews, or monitoring work is preferred..
  • Ability to conduct interviews with diverse groups including women, PwD, youth, and vulnerable households.
  • Basic understanding of local context and ability to navigate field locations.
  • Strong communication skills in Bangla; local dialects are an advantage.
  • Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, or digital data tools (e.g., mWater, Kobo, ODK).
  • Must have a personal smartphone.
  • Willing to travel to remote areas and work under field conditions.
  • Understanding of local context (demography, economic, political, social context)
  • Strong communication/motivational skills with the local stakeholders and community people.

Reportable To

Technical Expert – Climate Migration and Resilience Building

Workstation

Field level across Morrelganj and Sharankhola (Bagerhat), Paikgasa and Koyra (Khulna), Assasuni (Satkhira), and Kurigram Sadar, Ulipur, and Nageswari (Kurigram). Specific unions or upazilas will be assigned based on the needs.

Working Hours

8.5 hours per day including lunch break 30 minutes in between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Contract Tenure

This is a short-term assignment of 10 Days between 12 December 2025 and 30 December 2025.

Salary & Benefits

Daily honorarium (consolidated) is BDT. 2,000/ inclusive of travel, food expenditure, mobile and internet allowance, and Daily allowance. The payment will be made as per the agreed rate of payment of daily basis following organization guidelines and practices.

Travel

This position is entirely field-based and requires extensive travel.
